Hello!

What an original title, I know.

Hello! My name is Camille Miller and I am a junior (I guess now a senior) at Ferris. I have completed 4 years of Japanese and am excited to be going on this exchange.

I finished all my packing yesterday and had a wonderful time of trying to figure out how to pack glass jars in my checked bag without them breaking. We'll see how that goes once I get to Japan. I have a huge suitcase and probably do not need one that big. I guess I'll just have to buy lots of suvineers.

I got interested in Japanese in 6th grade and started studying Japanese at the end of 7th grade. I currently work as a Japanese tutor and in my free time (which is rare to have) I like to spend my time drawing or singing. I hope to attend  University of Washington with Japanese linguistics as my major. (Can you tell what I like doing?)

Everyone around me seems to think that it'll be easy to communicate after 4+ years of study, and I am definitely sad to say they are wrong. Hopefully, the language barrier won't be too bad.

This blog wasn't very long, but talking about yourself is hard...So I'll be writing longer blogs once I get to Japan.

またね!
