Jessica: Two weeks

I have been in Japan for two weeks now. I have been going to school on the week days and exploring on the weekends.

School in Japan is a lot different compared to American schools. School gets out at about 3:45pm on most days and then students have clubs till 7pm. Some students have cram school after that. I have realized that students stay out a lot later than American students.  Classes are also a lot longer than in America and they don't take the same classes every day how most American students do.

The past few weeks my class and I have been preparing a class dace for the school festival this week.
It has been super fun! I have made a lot of new friends in my class while doing so. We are dancing to High School Musical. Its really fun being able to relate with other students by knowing the songs. This week we have short classes so that we can prepare for the festival.

I have visited Osaka and Kobe so far. Last weekend Yulien, me, and our host family's when to Kobe. We visited a shrine and also when shopping around down town. The next day my host family and I went to an aquarium in Osaka. It was huge! There were many animals that I recognized and some that I did not. After we road the ferries wheel. It was really cool because you could see the city around
you.

I also started practicing gymnastics with the a university in town. I am really thankful for them to allow me to practice with them! It is amazing to still be able to practice gymnastics far from home.

I have been having a really great time! Thank you for following my journey so far.
