Hello!
Today was very exciting!
I went to Yulien and Jessica's school today for their cultural festival. I met a lot of their classmates and schoolmates.
I took some pictures with some of the people I met.
Higashi High school's ticket system was a little different from Ichinishi's ticket system.
At Higashi, you buy sets of tickets (5 tickets in each set) each worth 50 yen (250 yen per set) (about $2.50) and pay whatever amount (in increments of 50 yen) specific to each booth.
Higashi's tickets look like this,
At Ichinishi, you buy a ticket for a specific snack, event and/or game. Each ticket looks different and prices vary.
For example this ticket was for a tea ceremony.
After the ぶんかさい (Cultural Festival) (ぶんか= Culture さい=festival)、I went to a mall across from Yulien and Jessica's school, called Lala Port. We went to many stores and bought many things ranging from humorous to cute to useful.
At one store, I bought a Kappa plushy and 2 coin pouches.
At another store, I found a comic book about two funny animals.
I ran out of pencils, so I bought a mechanical pencil and some colored led.
I wish I could say that I stopped my spending spree, but we went to an Arcade and I spent a little over $20 trying to win anything from a crane game. I only played an actual video game once, and all I have to say is, those crane games are rigged! I didn't win once:'(
But, it was still fun, and I left the mall with lots of amazing things!:)
