こんにちは!
I went with my host brother to Kyoto. He invited me to a BBQ he was going to.
I was very excited to go. My host mother and sister took me to Kyoto because I was meeting my host brother there. It took three trains! I slept on all three, I wanted to have a lot of energy for the BBQ☺
When I got there, there was a huge shrine by the train station.
I had lots of fun. I got to know a lot people and practice my Japanese.
During the BBQ, an older lady came and everyone was calling her おばあさん(obaasan)(grandma or old lady). She was really funny. She responded to this by saying ねえさん(neesan)(sister) not grandma. When I introduced myself I called her ねえさん and she was really happy. I gave her a hug and tried having a conversation. It was difficult because she spoke a dialect that I am unfamiliar with. She stuck around and talked with others from the group. She really likes hugs, so I was being playful and after I swam I'm the river I gave her a hug; she laughed and gave me another hug.
Later, we played a Japanese version of tag, and at night we lit fireworks.
I really enjoyed spending time with them.
Some want to become teachers, and others still don't know what they want to do, but I hope they do something they enjoy😊
